Guild House, Peterborough
The Guild House redevelopment in Peterborough is a significant urban regeneration project involving the conversion of a landmark 1960s office building into a modern residential complex.
DG Timber solutions were delighted to be involved with this flagship residential rental project in the City of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. 159 apartments in a mix of four completely new flat blocks and at the same time converting the disused office building and adding an additional floor to form penthouse flats with views over the city and Peterborough cathedral.
- Transforming the existing concrete-frame office into seventy-seven apartments.
- Adding a lightweight timber frame at penthouse level (13 apartments) to the roof of the original structure.
- New Build: Constructing four additional apartment blocks within the 3.69-acre grounds to bring the total to 138 units
- An absolute masterclass by our client on how to develop and convert and repurpose unused commercial space into luxurious apartments for rent.
DG Timber Solutions worked to a very tight program and completed this work successfully in twenty weeks for our fantastic client.
Sawtry
Situated in the village Sawtry between Huntingdon and Peterborough, this new development of three eco-efficient detached executive homes.
The homes have uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside and excellent links to the A1.
They are built utilising timber-frame construction from DG Timber Solutions to maximise thermal efficiency. The product used was our closed panel system offering U-values of 0.17W/m²/K and have been installed with Heat pumps and whole house ventilation.
With low U -values and airtight details to improve air leakage these homes will perform for the homeowners for years to come.
Thames Ditton
Situated in the prized Surrey village of Weston Green, this new development of 18 eco-efficient mixed-tenure homes. Known to be one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods within the county.
The development is a range of 6 one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, alongside 12 three-bedroom semi-detached houses.
They are built utilising timber-frame construction from DG Timber Solutions to maximise thermal efficiency. The 12 houses will each be installed with EV car charging points, while the 6 apartments will have access to communal EV charging points.
With low U -values and airtight details to improve air leakage these homes will perform for the homeowners for years to come.
DG Timber Solutions construction team were able to deliver this scheme in a 30 week program and involved some complex roofs and the supply and fit of black UPVC Fascia and soffit.
Barns Green
Situated in the delightful village Barns Green near the historic market town of Horsham in Sussex, this new development of thirty-two eco-efficient homes.
The development is a range of 2,3 & 4 bedroom homes.
They are built using a high-performance closed panel timber-frame system supplied by DG Timber Solutions to maximise thermal efficiency. The homes will each be installed with EV car charging points, Air source heat pumps with underfloor heating and solar panels.
With low U -values and airtight details to improve air leakage these homes will perform for the homeowners for years to come.

Tollesbury, Essex
DG Timber Solutions secured the timber frame package for this fantastic residential scheme in the beautiful village of Tollesbury in Essex located on the Blackwater river estuary.
Twenty-Four homes in a mix of bungalows and cottages and designed to the highest levels of energy efficiency and incredibly low running costs.
They included such technologies as air source heat pumps, high performance windows, and of course ultra-low u-value timber frames from us!
With the closed panel timber frame system offering exceptionally low u-values and low thermal bridging details ensured these homes will be warm and comfortable to live in for generations to come.
DG Timber Solutions delivered this exciting project in 24 weeks.
All the homes are built around a social hub to create a wonderful friendly neighbourhood for all residents.
A short walk to the waterfront makes this an idyllic location to live.
